1. Agreement
By booking services with The Sit Spot ("we", "us", "our"), you ("Client") agree to these Terms. Services include dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight sitting, and related pet care offered in Morris, Sussex, Bergen, and Passaic counties, New Jersey.
2. Free Estimates & Booking
All estimates are free and non-binding. Service is confirmed only after a meet & greet and written confirmation of dates and pricing. Bookings are first-come, first-served.
3. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed. Overnight and multi-day bookings may require a 25% deposit. We accept cash, Venmo, and Zelle.
4. Cancellations
Cancellations made 48+ hours before service are fully refundable. Cancellations within 48 hours may be charged 50% of the booked rate. Holiday bookings are non-refundable within 7 days of the start date.
5. Client Responsibilities
Client agrees to provide accurate care instructions, current vaccinations (including rabies), secure access to the home, sufficient food and supplies, and emergency contact information. Aggressive behavior must be disclosed in advance.
6. Veterinary Care
In the event of illness or injury, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the Client and follow their veterinary instructions. If unreachable, we are authorized to seek emergency care at the Client's expense.
7. Liability
The Sit Spot carries pet sitter insurance. We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, behaviors not disclosed, damage caused by the pet to the home, or events beyond our reasonable control.
8. Photos
We may use non-identifying photos of your pet for social media and marketing unless you opt out in writing.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. The current version applies to all bookings made after the posted date.
